Landscape Design & Installation

Full landscape design and installation for Colorado Springs properties — planting suited to the Front Range climate, tied together with hardscape.

Design & Installation

A landscape planned around how you use the yard

Most yards weren’t designed — they accumulated. A bed here, a tree someone planted in 2004, grass because grass is the default. This service starts from what you actually want from the space, then builds a plan around your site’s sun, slope, and soil.

Where people usually start

A yard that doesn’t reflect how the family actually spends time outside. Beds that were planted for a different climate and never really settled in. Drainage that pools by the foundation after every storm. Grass everywhere, including the parts nobody walks on.

What a finished project looks like

A layout matched to how the sun actually moves across your property. Plantings selected for Front Range winters and water restrictions, not just what looked good at the garden centre. Grading and hardscape that move water away from the house instead of toward it.

What's Included

What a design & install project covers

  • An on-site walk to read sun exposure, drainage, soil, and how the space is used today
  • A planting plan suited to the Front Range’s elevation, wind, and hail exposure
  • Hardscape tie-ins — edging, small retaining walls, walkways — where the design calls for them
  • A materials and plant list you can review before anything is ordered
  • Irrigation planning so new plantings actually establish
  • Installation, cleanup, and a walkthrough once the work is done

How It Works

From first walk to finished planting

Site walk

We look at sun, slope, soil, and how you actually move through the space.

Design concept

A plan with a plant and material list, so you know what you’re approving before we start.

Installation

Grading, hardscape, and planting, sequenced so the site stays workable throughout.

Walkthrough

A final walk covering care through the first establishing season.

Practical Considerations

Worth knowing before you start

  • Spring and early fall are the best planting windows on the Front Range; midsummer installs need extra watering attention to establish
  • New plantings need consistent water through their first season, even drought-tolerant species
  • Many HOAs review plant lists and hardscape materials — we’ll flag anything worth checking with yours early
  • Utility locates happen before any digging starts, as a matter of course
How long does a full design and install take?

It depends on scope, but a typical front or back yard project runs from a few days of installation once the design is approved and materials are on site, not counting the design and ordering lead time beforehand.

Can you work with an existing landscape instead of starting over?

Yes — most projects keep healthy trees and structure and rework the parts that aren’t working. A full teardown is the exception, not the default.

Do you handle irrigation as part of the design?

We plan irrigation zones as part of the design so new plantings actually establish, and can scope the irrigation work alongside the install.

What if I only want part of the yard redone?

That’s common. A phased approach — one bed or one side of the property at a time — is a reasonable way to spread out a larger vision.
